Sexual Assault
Ending sexual assault and harassment is a complex and challenging task. Statistics show that sexual violence is a well-known issue, many women and men experiencing some form of sexual violence in their lifetime. Unfortunately, the judicial system often faces criticism for not adequately supporting survivors, with only 25 out of every 1,000 perpetrators ending up in prison. Implementing more robust laws, along with advocacy and sharing personal experiences, can bring much-needed attention to this critical issue and contribute to reducing these heinous acts. By advocating for change and promoting awareness, we can work towards creating a safer environment for everyone. Protecting one’s body and mental well-being is essential, and collective action is necessary to combat this ongoing violence.
